  6. I love your blog and have really enjoyed looking at your artwork and reading some of your writing.
    The portrait image at the top of this page looks remarkably similar to a 1950 University of New Mexico yearbook photo of George D. Ballou (born in Spain in 1928). Are you by any chance related to him?
    (I’m working on a book about the Lake Chapala region of Mexico, where George D. Ballou spent some time in about 1948-49. Ballou was apparently, as well as a writer, a great collector of animals, including mammals from the jungle for US museum collections.

    • Geomexico – I don’t think so. My Ballou grandfather was born in 1922 in the US, and didn’t have a younger brother named George (that I know of!). Thanks for your comments!
